My Passion for photography, particularly flower photography, started in the spring of 2007…. Having moved to the beautiful countryside in Somerset, I developed an interest in the garden. Some bulbs were planted, and to my surprise and joy the flowers grew! The first few pictures I took on my little camera is where it all started….

Over time, this has become my passion and I really enjoy watching a flower change from bulb to bud to bloom. The life cycle of a beautiful, natural specimen has really made me observe the world in a different way. It’s amazing how you can preserve a moment of beauty into a memory.

Macro photography is my true passion. Being able to see the minute detail of a petal, a stem, or the heart of a flower fascinates me…the amazing detail that we would have simply missed otherwise. How lucky are we to have such a wide range of flowers and plants with vivid colours, textures and structure..?
